Meet Ronja Schipper
Ronja is a graphic designer, illustrator and compulsive maker of things.
Re:purpose is her range of beautifully up-cycled jewellery pieces, hand-made in NZ from bicycle tyre inner tube.
By re-using under-valued resources for creating her design pieces, she's aiming to highlight the relationship with our at risk environment. Ronja is particularly passionate about re-purposing discarded items and materials, and turning them into meaningful objects of desire.
In our time and place, it is absolutely necessary to look at the way we manage our limited resources and the pressure our consumer behaviour is placing on our unique planet. By using mostly waste material to create her jewellery pieces, Ronja is trying to make a small contribution towards a change for the better.
