Rebecca Ronald is a photographer based in New Lynn. Often drawn westward in search of trees and wild spaces, her creative practice is grounded in a deep love for nature.

Rebecca’s art journey began about five years ago after stepping away from a busy teaching career. With more time and energy, she started walking — camera in hand — and quickly developed a passion for capturing the natural world. What began as casual exploration soon became a photography obsession, always chasing the perfect shot.

Her work celebrates the ever-changing colours, delicate patterns, and incredible variety found in Aotearoa’s native plants and landscapes. Fascinated by the intersection of science and nature, Rebecca continues to learn about the environment and how to protect it — a curiosity that feeds directly into her art.
